David and Rosie

UK Open 2023

David and Rosie have been dancing together since June 2018 , competing across the UK, Europe and Asia.

 

Together they are: 

​

-United Kingdom and British Open Championships top 3

-U.K, British Open and International Rising Star Finalists

-All Ireland Champions 

-WDO World Championship Semi Finalists 

WDO European Championship Semi Finalists 

-Champions and Finalists in various competitions overseas including in Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, France and China

In January 2023 David and Rosie made their debut as Professionals at the UK Open to the World Championships, where they successfully made their first Professional Rising Star Final together in 5th position - placing 3rd in Quickstep. At the British Open Championships May 2023 they also finished 5th in the Professional Rising Star - placing 2nd in Quickstep.

​

At the United Kingdom Closed and the British National Championships in 2023 they finished 3rd overall, placing them in the top 3 couples in the U.K for Professional Ballroom Dancing currently.

They are excited to see where their Professional Competitive Career takes them next.

David Cockram

David began dancing aged 9 in his local dancing school in Staffordshire and progressed quickly through the juvenile ranks, the highlight being becoming a British Team representative at Junior Blackpool. Since then, David has gone on to make the British National Final at every single level so far in Juvenile, Junior, Youth & Amateur.

 

Competing both Nationally & Internationally, David achieved many titles prior to dancing with Rosie including:

-British National U21 Champion

-UK Closed U21 Champion

-3x World U21 Finalist

-2x European U21 Finalist

-British Open U21 Finalist

-International U21 Finalist

-German & Austrian Open Champion

 

During his juvenile days, David also made appearances on Channel 5’s Milkshake Show, ITV’s Alan Titchmarsh Show & ITV’s Baby Ballroom The Championship.

Rosie Ward

Essex girl Rosie started dancing age 6, working through the Medallist system and competing in successful Formation Teams at a local dance school. At 16, Rosie made the move to the Open Circuit, working hard to progress very quickly through the ranks from Beginners to Pre-Champ level, Youth to Amateur before becoming the Professional dancer she is today. In 2017 Rosie was awarded the prestigious ISTD Bill Irvine Trophy for her skills as a dancer.

​

Rosie has trained and competed across Europe, USA and Asia. Prior to dancing with David her competitive accolades include becoming Maltese Open Champion, Greek Open Champion, Taiwan World Open Finalist and Finalist of Championships in Spain, Sweden and several across the UK.

​

Alongside her competitive career, Rosie also enjoys the performance side of dance, featuring on Manoto TV's 'Dancing with the Stars',  BBC Children in Need, the Theatre Tour 'Crazy for Gershwin' and in the 2022/ 2023 Theatre Tour of 'An Audience with Anton Du Beke' which has seen her perform and the renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival and at the London Palladium.

2024 Rosie back on tour with Anton for selected dates, as she joins him on stage to perform his favourite dances.
